The FEI (Federation Equestrian Internationale) Show Jumping World Cup is an annually held competition series between the world’s best riders on the world’s top horses. During a jumping season, riders earn points in competitions that are part of the series, only the highest scoring 45 riders qualify for the finals.
The series was founded in 1978 and currently comprises of 14 leagues and sub-leagues on all continents. The FEI World Cup was founded by Swiss journalist and show jumping enthusiast Max E. Ammann. From its inception until 1999, the series was sponsored by Volvo, between 1999 and 2013 the series was sponsored by Rolex. Since 2013 the series title sponsor has been Longines.
Together with Slovakia, Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Bulgaria, the Czech Republic is a member of the Central-European League, the northern sub-group.
